clicky jaw?

hi all does anyone suffer with a click like feeling when eating? have only just started feeling this and its not all the time, its just a funny sensation hope everyone is well michelle x

Yes, I've had it for a lot of years. It was diagnosed as TMJ and I was given a mouth guard for night times. That was quite a few years ago, I have since found out that, along with quite a few other things I thought happened in isolation, it can be related to RA.

It's a classic symptom of RA. I had it for years but since I have been medicated for RA it has stopped.

classic enthesitis point for spondyloarthritis too - my jaw joints can be incredibly noisy sometimes.

Hi Chemar

RA can certainly effect the jaw, but of course there could equally be other potential causes of a clicky jaw, so worth mentioning it to your rheumatologist to see what their opinion is.
