Hi. Just come to 5'weeks of this drug being added to my sulpha, and had the most horrendous runs I have ever had! Anyone else experienced this?
Any advice would be welcome, not sure whether to carry on or not?

Yeah it did that to me, including a fair few 'accidents'! Also it was sort of maroon coloured which was a bit worrying. I eventually came off the drug due to high blood pressure not because of the 'dire rear' (also it didn't really work anyway). xx
Hi Steph,
I tried Leflunamide last year, I only took it for just over a month, as I was not prepared to put up with the most dreadful stomach upsets and a searing pain all around my middle.
I don't know if these symptoms ease with time, but I'm afraid it is not a favourite drug
of mine.
I now have rituximab.
Good luck and take care

I had a similar reaction with methotrexate. It did come under control after a while, but it was difficult to manage and teach at the same time. I still have a strong reaction to unripe fruit and salad but I try to avoid them when out and about. Good luck!
hiya ive been on this drug for 6 months now every now and then I get bad stomach upsets and have the runs every morning before ten lol xxx its not that bad at the moment take care xxx
I was the same I too had an upset tummy and lost most of my hair!!! I took a break of I over a week, and things seemed better like my body had adjusted. However in addition to conventional medication I am using a natural organic gel and I can't begin to tell you how great I feel. I can work a full 8 hour day, come home and cook a banquet, Hoover, wash up sort out my clothes in the wardrobe without a hint if tiredness nor do I have a flare up after being so active!! If anyone is suffering out there please please please get in touch with me, if it works for me it could work for you too!!
Oh my goodness, I would love to hear what you use! I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and have really struggled with the cocktail of drugs.
Would love to hear your story. Steph
I am another who hated leflunomide, had slight runs and stomach cramps but it was the skin rash and itchiness that drove me to despise it
Thanks everyone for your help! I have really missed you all, when the site was offline. I am going to go in and see my RA nurse tomorrow, so will hopefully get this sorted out.
Thanks again everyone. Steph
