Macrophage activation syndrome

I have recently been diagnosed with MAS which follows my RA and actually ended up spending 5 days in ICU as the macrophage cells began to attack my heart and kidneys. This has lead to further complications with my condition and I now see a heart specialist as well. I was wandering if anybody knew anything about MAS or could share their own experiences of it?

Hi, sorry but I have never heard of MAS. I know that a macrophage is a cell that is supposed to destroy viruses and bacteria. So MAS must be another type of autoimmune condition. I can't believe how many different A.I types of disease there are.

I am sorry you have had such a dreadful time, and I do hope you are getting all the help you need.
