Has anyone ever taken their touring caravan to France, any suggestions?

My parents used to take their touring caravan to the continent each year, from France through to Switzerland, etc. xx

Text arrived, forgot they were on holiday!

La Rochele and Royan West Coast, towing was ok for these areas, but it was a while ago.

I would reccommend the roads. The fields are very rough!!!
