Yes Kekefree a big applause 👏for quitting smoking .

I experienced similar reactions . For insomnia the best is sleeping tea . I used to take 2 or 3 times starting as early as 7 pm

Just in case please no caffeine or alcohol .

Urges to smoke will decrease as days go by ,as long as you distract your mind and stay clear of nicotine .

👍You are doing fabulous ! 39 days is a very important number of days without smoking ! Keep it up ! and just enjoy the freedom 🎉

Hi Kekegreen. haha you are indeed kekefree! Congrats on your quit.

I take 450 mg Magnesium Citrate which is just a mineral you can buy at any drug mart or grocery store. And also I take 20 mg amitryptilline which is prescription. So I didn’t have super bad sleep disturbance when I quit smoking. Although I’d like to be completely drug free, that won’t happen until I retire in a year and a half. Need my sleeps for work.

I don’t know if you took Champix or are quitting cold turkey. Either way, several people on this site say insomnia was a factor in their quit. Which is weird to me because nicotine is a stimulant so one would think smoking keeps us awake and quitting would improve sleep. But ... psychological aspects of the quit can be strong.

Melatonin is another option. Speak to your doctor. Sleep is so important.
