Aw Copley2, it doesn't feel great at first! Are you using any aids to help you or cold turkey?

😐

That is a normal feeling at the start. After the pain, nobody ever regrets quitting. Hang in there

Things will get better then will all be worth it stick to it copley2 just over 5 months for me now

Hello and welcome.

You're quitting mainly because you don't want to die prematurely from smoking related causes.

Despite how you feel now, it is worth the effort. Just hang in there. It is hard but doable.

If you need support, post as often as you need to. 😊

Welcome Copley2 and congratulations on over 1 day smoke free!

I think you know the answer to your question, but will just give an honest reality check for you below (interesting and factual reading)

ash.org.uk

"Smoking is the primary cause of preventable illness and premature death, accounting for

approximately 96,000 deaths a year in the United Kingdom.

Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body and dramatically reduces both quality of life and life expectancy. Smoking causes lung cancer, respiratory disease and heart disease as well as numerous cancers in other organs including lip, mouth, throat, bladder, kidney, stomach, liver and cervix."

At this very early stage of your quit, it is normal not to feel well as your body begins the healing and recovery process of thousands of poisonous chemicals each time we smoked just one cigarette,

Copley.. Welcome to our world..to quit smoking is in fact a total change of life...all of us went through this horrible time...that time of total zombification, the total "blah" and feeling like crap...The best of all is : we did this to ourselves.

My Quitza counter: the amount Of Smoking Related Deaths Since Hercu Quit

10,928,234

and I am only quit:: 1 Year 10 Months 2 Weeks 5 Days 22 Hours 0 Mins 5S secs......... and the best stat of all is Extra Life Expectancy Hercu Can Expect On Average

:

211 Days, 0 Hours, 0 Minutes,

My reason to quit is to live life the way it should be and age with dignity.. without an oxygen bottle beside my bed..or lying there with a brain not functioning due to a stroke...So if you want to live life the way it should be..take this few days of feeling crap and embrace your journey to a better quality life...Strongs and I promise you will feel much better soon...!!

Only the nicotine would say is IT ThAT BAD Quit one minute one day at a time ya it is that bad to have some one behind a big desk adding more chemicals poisons deadly metals and any other crap they can find to keep you standing in line to buy there product. And it's all legal to the world the only difference between cigarettes and meth is the meth labs don't have lawyers so ya it's that bad good luck
