Figured it's about time I introduced myself since I've been lurking around these forums for the past week or so .....
This is my 3rd and FINAL quit after 28 years of smoking 25+ per day, I know most people decide to quit for health reasons but for me my motivation is the money!
I remember telling myself that if the cost of a pack of cigs ever reached £5 then that was it, I wouldn't smoke ...... well god knows how many years later and I have been paying almost £10 per pack!!!
A few years ago I decided to quit and went cold turkey ..... I lasted less than a week and it wasn't pretty ..... I was so determined not to be snappy/grumpy/moody etc.etc. that I ended up avoiding all contact with my OH and became badly depressed.
My second attempt lasted 9 weeks (although I admit to the odd smoke in an evening) .......
This is my 3rd attempt and I am determined it will be my last ...... Because this time I will remain smoke free!!!!
I had my last cig on Thurs 12th Nov @ 22:15 ...... I am using patches to help me through my night shifts at work and also the occasional puff on an e-cig ...... not ideal I know, but at least it's not a cigarette!!!
When I have a night off work then I don't wear a patch .... but do find I need the e-cig more often!
Whenever I crave I read through the posts on here and it helps
