As Karri said, every quit is different. Everyone's experience is different and, yes, take each day as it comes.

Tips for the up and coming months - not sure where to start but I think the main thing is to just keep going. It will get easier but there can be no room for complacency because from time to time we will be reminded that we were once smokers, the urge to smoke is always hiding in the background ready to challenge us in moments of weakness.

Always remind ourselves that we are winners, only losers smoke, and if we are tempted just ask ourselves do we really want to go back to our old ways - I know I don't.

It goes without saying that the benefits to our health, too numerous to mention, are enormous now we aren't smoking. We aren't social lepers anymore smoking in doorways or wreaking of stale smoke. We are also saving a fortune instead of watching it disappear up in smoke.

We can enjoy freedom and peace of mind instead of smoking and feeling guilty.

We just have to remember all the positives we are gaining from not smoking. Don't fight your quit, try to embrace it instead.
