Just dropping by...

Hi all, just thought I would drop by and say hi. It's been ages since I've been on here and looking through there are so many new names, which is great :) as this site was a lifeline to me in the early weeks! I don't know if many will remember me as I didn't post often, more an observer. I was the one that got a puppy with the money that I had saved, and as an incentive to get active. I'm now just over 8 months quit and doing great, it really does get easier with time :) My little sidekick Boo (the puppy) is fab and I can't imagine her not being part of my family now. I've put some weight on, even with getting out and about with Boo  but I've decided I will deal with that once I get to a year quit  I do get the odd craving but they are gone as quickly as they arrive. Anyway, this is just a flying visit, I really hope everyone is doing ok, no matter how hard it gets, just keep going, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day....you can do it! :D x

Lol, a pony, love it! ;) x

Hi Stacka, good to see you are still quit and a lovely positive post. Don't worry about the weight, apparently you would have to gave about 3-4 times your body weight for it to be as unhealthy as smoking! Can't remember where I read that. Anyway, you will shift any extra and walking is brilliant. Puppy was a great way to spend the smoking money. :)

Hi all, i'm just dropping by again! Many thanks for the lovely comments :) Hope everybody is doing well with their quits, and is keeping going and staying positive.

Things are going well for me, less than a month until the year mark now, eek! :D During them early hours, days and even weeks I could never envisage myself getting to a year, seemed like a mountain that was just too big to climb, However, somehow I am almost there, my mantra of minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, has now become week by week, month by month and soon it will be year by year..... Anyway, I will drop by again on the big day, speak to you all on the 23rd June! :D x

Well done stacka! Good to know you're still winning :) Hope life with Boo is treating you well x

PS No pony for me yet ;)

Congratulations Stacka - I see your poised and ready to prove no mountain is un-climbable!!! Thanks for sharing - look forward to seeing your post June 23rd!!

Hi Stacka

Your positive approach has done wonders for me, look forward to your 12month post which means there us hope for all us on this site

Thanks Stacka for coming on here. It is an inspiration and so valuable for us that are coming through. Two posts of your milestones. It really helps. I think quite a few of us are at that transition point, where we are starting to believe we are doing this; that this is our new reality but not really believing it is actually us that are doing it. Please come back and tell us when you reach your 1 year point. You're almost there.

I will keep an eye out for your Penthouse post Stacka - well done x
