Well left work to day, upsetting but I know that won't last.
No husband.
So how do I move forward 15 grand not a lot, how ever I need to make it work,
Open to suggestions?
Still smoke free, god knows how, because I don't know

Aw Tracey....I shall think on and reply properly when I've thunked. In the short term, you're one fantastic and amazing lady and I hope you'll accept many virtual hugs from me (not that they'll pay the rent I know, but....:))
Tracey I really admire your strength at the moment, you are stronger than you give yourself credit for hun, agree with Deb registering with agencies is a good shout, you can do some temping in different areas to find out what you really want to do, once you feel more positive about one area in your life everything else will fall into place as your confidence grows, real proud of you lovely lady xxx
I think Tea could be onto something there, Tracey, as could Karen. If you are in a position where you can volunteer for a while you could potentially move into a paid job later. For example, if you were to apply to be a volunteer Citizens Advice Bureau advisor, you'd not only get a chance to help people in all sorts of different situations you'd also get properly trained (you can end up with an NVQ in advice work) in the process. Several of my debt/benefit/housing advisor colleagues started off as CAB generalist advisors then later specialised and moved into paid roles. I can definitely see you working for Shelter or a local Housing Advice service.
I can also imagine you as a Housing Support Worker or working for a Floating Support service. You'd be fantastic I think. It's worth looking out for (paid) jobs of that sort as you have exactly the sort of life experience many agencies are looking for.
The other thing I was wondering about was whether you could do someting in relation to your catering skills, maybe in tandem with the above? Catering for children's parties for example. It might be a means to getting some supplemental income.
Anyway, I am sure something will turn up. Fate has a way of leading us in the right direction I find....
Whatever you decide to do I wish you all the very best with it, going by the original problem post that you made a new you sound exactly what you need as unexpected as it may have happened, make sure you keep in touch with your closest friends, the real friends, the one that know you and vice versa. £15K is a lot more than you think, it'll only be a problem if you don't use it wisely and don't forget you will need income coming in sooner rather than later.
