Been having a fair few champix dreams recently, or at least I'm attributing them to champix. They actually wake me up in the middle of the night on some occasions, they are not quite nightmares but very fustrating instead. Like a maginification of a work problem I was working on the day before. Anyone know what the story is here? I know this is nothing to complain about in comparison to other quit problems but it def doesn't lift you in anyway.....

Thanks. At least insomnia isn't an issue for me yet.

Had few more thoughts than the norm about having a cig today :( but just putting up with it and remembering all the reasons I have quit, doing a lot of it tho.

Merry Christmas to you all! Hope you've stuffed yourselves in the usual Christmas fashion as I have ;)

Well done TT2014, I am on your heels. I had a dream the other night and in it I was explaining to someone why I no longer smoked !! I was chuffed when I woke up. Just off out for an early morning walk. Happy Christmasxx

Thanks for the reminders guys, needed them. Got worried yesterday.

When my brain starts chatting away telling me something is missing ect I just tell myself 'I've had my quota of fags and have chosen to walk on and live a full life'' I also remind myself that I could smoke if I wanted too, I am free to do whatever I like and I have come to a time in my life that I am choosing not to smoke. Sometimes I have to keep repeating it but it really does work for me. I have picked up these tips from this forum and the Neil Casey book, The Nicotine Trick, its well worth a read xx

Thank you both. Today was a lot better than yesterday. Was working today, so that def helped. I'm into DAY 18 so something is still working and according to my app I haven't smoked 370 cigs since quitting, that is just ridiculous!!!!!!

Went out for a short 15 min run yesterday, which messed me up, clearly didn't realise how unfit I've got. Need to do more on this front.

I read the posts on this forum, and it is bloody amazing to see so many of you doing so well with months and years in the bag. But it's just as worrying to read about the few who relapse and have to start again because their words remind me of me and the fact that that could so easily be me as well.

Hoping for the best!!!!!! Planning for the worst!

Be stubborn: refuse to lose to a dead plant.

Ha ha ha ha, I concur!

Pleased to read you had a better day. Why not start walking instead of running, much easier on the knees !! walking also clears and calms the mind better xx

There are few ills a good walk can't cure in my opinion. :)

Morning TT :D

Seriously, mate, don't worry about relapsing. I know it happens but I think the vast majority of us quitters have already been there, done it, worn the t-shirt, etc. Once that switch in your brain flicks over, smoking just isn't an option any longer no matter what life throws at you. You'll be fine- just you mark my words.

Hope today is a good day for you.

Nice one girls. Can always rely on you for words of wisdom.

Went out for a blow off steam walk for 30 mins a short while ago. And you are right, it does clear the mind. It also freezes the nose and ears in this weather ;)

Finding some momentum again, me thinks. So here's to another day in the bag. Turning in for the night early now. Have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.

Thanking you and tuning out.....
