That's all I can say about today really......nothing to do with smoking, I'm not craving but I am peed off....I have been in agony for 7 months with my back and nothing I take eases it without making me zone out....I am in agony and it's getting me down, it's sacriolic joint Pain apparently? Also we have young families either side of us and I am led on my bed listening to the kids scream and cry... On both sides...... The parents aren't doing a thing.....Today is one of those days I wish I was a tortoise and could hibernate for 6 months....

P.s can anyone recommend good tablets that might help with the pain whilst I wait for physio? I have tried paracetamol, solpadol, valium, tramadol and diclofenac I am starting to get really down about this pain.... :( xx

Sounds awful. I have discs problems and use a tens machine that really helps.

That way you dont have that awful drowsy feeling you get with the pills xx

I could cry with it I really could..... It's the right side and in my groin and down the right leg.....some days I just don't know what to do with myself..... I will look into a tens machine it's one of the things I haven't tried...

P.S I am gonna hobble round to the neighbours and bang on their door Ina. Minute if they don't do something about their child.....he is literally having a tantrum and it's been going on for an hour.....:mad::mad: x

If you mean Sacroiliac or chronic pelvic pain syndrome and you have tried "tramadol" you may have to live with it for a while.

If you can get hold of it, believe it or not, v1agra may help.

KK;)

Tramadol does get rid of it but I simply cannot function in it, I sleep within 5 mins of taking the tablet... I need something where I can drive and go to work and concentrate, and yes it's the sacroiliac joint I'm rubbish at spelling :D apparently it's not meant to move and mine has slightly so my whole pelvis is on the pish as a result.... Out of interest how can ****** help? I am desperate I'll try anything x

Oh I think I got the wrong part of the body. Maybe a tens machine might not help then xx

No it is my back Deb your right it's the big ole joint at the bottom of your back that your pelvis and spine sits in xx

Oh you poor thing :(

Back pain is something I have issues with On and of for years a chiropractic helped with one issue and a tens machine helps with the others They are not that expensive these days but we'll worth the money

The other thing I would think about is your posture how you stand sit walk and lie check to see what position your in when the pain is worse and if your sitting alot roll up a hand towel and place it at the small of your back I used to have a slopping cushion when I had an office job plus moving around doing stretching exercises helped too

I really hope you get it resolved soon hun x

As for screaming kid's get some ear plugs or put some headphones on and play some soothing music on

I have noisey students either side of me and very annoying loud, kids in one, house opposite and a very loud dog that barks alot whennever the kids are being loud so I just stick my headphones on and listen to some relaxing sounds x

Thank you all so much what a lovely lot you are, there are some good tips on here I will definitely look into the guy at Chandos Jen thanks, I used to go to Clifton chiropractors but they wanted £40 a session and said I would need 16 having 2 a week  that's just not viable, Tea the hot water bottle is practically stuck to me when I'm at home, and as I am sat at my desk I am in agony by the time I get home, it's relentless even all through the night, every time I turn over I wake up... Blooming nightmare.... What's a slopping cushion carol? That might help when I'm at work as I am desk bound for 8 hours a day! X

If it kills the pain that is.

sorry i should have used the proper term its called a wedge cushion it just helps you to sit in the right posture especially when your sitting for long periods i also had an orphopedic chair that you can apply for plus a slopping step to put my feet up health and safety regulations state that they should supply you with aids that will help and support you if you have an ongoing problem no doubt though they have no designed a chair with a slight tilt on it plus the lumber support

Hope it's not so bad today Donna. Back pain is dreadful, I suffer now and then for a few days at a time and that's bad enough but nothing like what you describe as I just use Voltarol gel which helps a bit. x :)
