Ahh, sod it - let the party begin, can't wait until midnight

A year ago, I set out on my quest (for the umpteenth time!) to try and kick the habit.

Reached the 4th week and I realised that this quit could be my last

Stopped making excuses and stopped finding reasons to smoke - instead, concentrated on quitting.

And here I am - Day 365

My fellow November 2013 quitters will be along shortly to add to the celebration(s).

YAY FOR FINALLY! FIRST THROUGH THE PORTALS!! :D:D

So, so pleased for you Finally- I was really excited when I got up this morning to know that this was your day. You've been such an intrepid leader of the gang, macheting your way through the dense jungle to forge a path the rest of us could follow, and here you are- out in the sunlit uplands (as Max would say) and the Penthouse doors have opened.

Isn't it brilliant to be able to say that you quit the fags a year ago! When we manage it, we become the people that we used to envy, the people whose determination and mental strength we envied a year ago! It's amazing, it really is and if we'd known back then how proud of ourselves we would be when we'd succeeded, well, I reckon it would have been a great spur to battle on......it is SSSSSOOOOOOO worth it!
