Yet another test!

Well less than 24 hours after I posted that I had done six months I suddenly got made redundant as the firm I worked for went into liquidation with no warning! We haven't even been paid for this month's work grrrr. Feel gutted and scared for the future, will really miss my colleagues there was only 6 of us and we had all been there for donkey's years so it was like family.

Was feeling very sorry for myself then I read Carol Rose's thread about her Mum and thought I should stop moaning, sending you thoughts and strength Carol.

Super sorry about your job, that's awful:(

Things always have a way of working out,and your still off fags so it's a test of nerves and stress as well.

You know what don't kill us makes us stronger, and you do sound in a good place.

Best wishes to you, hope it all works out for you soon

Very sorry indeed, Superc. What a terrible shock for you and your colleagues. It isn't just losing your job- it must feel like you're losing a family too. :(

All I can say is well done for not letting it derail your quit. I shall keep everything crossed that you not only find another job soon but find something you really enjoy.

Thinking of you and sending you virtual hugs :)

You poor thing, I've been made redundant three times and although I wasn't unfortunate enough to have been with a company going through liquidation, the anger and sense of loss was awful. Keep positive, I'm a great believer in things always happening for a reason, so hopefully you will find something new that will be right up your street. Good Luck ;)

Aww thanks so much everyone! It was a small family printing company that I worked for been trading for 45 years first the father then the son took it over, all gone, just like that overnight! When we were told my first thought was I want a fag!!!! Then I just remembered what everyone says, smoking never was and never will be the answer to a problem - still wanted one though!

I am already missing everyone, I was the only female (apart from when the boss's wife came in) and I miss my boys :( Was a really good laugh working there, not at all PC. Oh well just gotta start looking for something else I guess.

Once again thanks for your good wishes and sympathy, much appreciated.

Hi Steve, the company was in Brentwood. Pretty well known in Essex I think as it had been going for 45 years.
