Hi all I am a 33 year who had been smoking for 15 years.
This Year sees my first year smoke free. In the past I have tried patches and gum (still smoked the same amount even with the strongest patches on). A couple of years ago I tried champix which was successful for approx 5 months. So I carried on smoking again, stupid me.
Then last year I revieved the news that strikes absolute fear and utter happiness into you at the very same time, "honey, I am pregnant". Oh dear, I thought, I cannot be another one of then partners smoking around a pregnant lady and also in the future I don't wanna be smoking around my baby.
Time for action! But what, all the usual had failed me, I could do champix again but was it worth it for a short time away from the smokes? Nah, I know what, loads of people are using them e CIG thingies at work, might as well ask them about it. So I did, and over twelve months later I haven't touched a stinky (our affectionate term for a ciggie)
What can I say to you and help you? Give them a try, don't be afraid of them and definitely don't be scared off by the apparent horror stories. If you want to know anything, how they work, are they decent, where can I get one etc, I would be more than happy to help.
Well sorry for the long post.

I'm currently writing a article on non smoking success stories, I was wondering if you might be interested in speaking to me about your year smoke free?

Interesting post whistler. Are you still using the e-cig, with / without nicotine?
I have found the e cigs(vaping) absolutely brilliant, no cravings. With every other attempt at non smoking I have struggled from day one, my thoughts were consumed with needing cigarettes but with this method I've had no problems at all it truly is wonderful, free at last.
