Hey all. Hope everyone is doing well. Hit day 75 of my quit today. This has been such a record for me. My previous quits were pathetic. In the past I would tell myself I could quit anytime and after 48 hours as a 'reward' I would have a smoke. Ridiculous!!!!
This time this quit is serious. I refuse to go back to being a smoker and refuse to pay out my hard earned money for something I know will possibly kill me!
The worst saying I ever heard in the past from a supposed mate was 'once a smoker always a smoker'... That is completely false. Believe me if I can stop then anyone can. I never will smoke again and for people out there on this forum who have just recently quit, please keep going as it will get easier.
Yes there are tough days and I myself was crawling up the walls in the first few weeks, but it does ease over time. I love saying I am a non smoker!!!!
Keep going everyone!

75 days is awesome! Sounds like u really got this nailed now, the first few weeks are definitely up and down, would u say you feel a lot better now physically and mentally? I only ask because my mood is still very changeable, more up than down but just wondered when it settles.
Hey Donna. I have felt a massive physical difference . I no longer cough loads in the morning, my sense of taste and smell had vastly improved too . I do lots of jogging which had got easier over the past weeks. Actually it was an eye opener earlier this evening when I had to run to catch my train and wasn't collapsing in exhaustion!
Mentally I think was tougher especially in first few weeks. My brain was willing me to smoke in early days. But now it is getting much easier . It is now becoming the opposite in that my brain is saying I have done 75 days so don't throw it away!
I really do believe that as time goes on it gets easier and easier
