Whoops been posting in the wrong month, I was getting ahead of my self in month 2!
Day 28 for me, 4 weeks ,it has passed fairly easily apart from the odd day when I have been down or irritable.
Going through the mill at the moment got 2 infections plus gum disease so not in the greatest of moods however I am a lucky girl, I have a lovely husband and 2 children, we have our house I'm in work even tho I'm going to be made redundant soon and best of all I'm a non smoker!
Onwards and upwards to a full month on 3rd feb xx

You could easily have turned away from this quit and made excuses -you had plenty to choose from-but you did not turn away, you have grabbed this by the scuff of its neck and given it your best shot and here you are about to move to Month 2 room, into 5 weeks of not smoking.
FIVE WEEKS!!!!!!! :D:D
Spring and summer look like being a time of sweet smelling Donna with more cash than she would have had.
Keep posting, keep fighting,NEVER give up,this is the most worthwhile fight you will win- possibly in your whole life X
Thank you so much Max in the past I would of made excuses but I know the pitfalls now I've had a lot of practice in this giving up malarkey, edging ever nearer to the dreaded 8 week mark but I know that's a psychological battle I will have to deal with when the time comes, thanks again xx
What is wrong with the FF today they are all confused and posting in random rooms lol. Good going Donna and yes we must however fed up we are, remember all the good things we have xx
Honestly Deb I've lost the plot lol I put the butter in the oven the other day? It was off but that's not the point haha 1 month for you tomorrow we are gong great guns aren't we? **pats Deb on back** xxx
Really good to hear you are progressing well with your quit. I seem to remember you saying you weren't a heavy smoker so the gum problem should pass quickly.
Like your attitude of concentrating on the positives in life, that will help make your quit a lot easier. Keep it going.
Cheers John, I was 10-15 a day but the last 10 years or so was more like 20, hopefully it will sort itself out, it's so odd tho that as a smoker my teeth and gums were fine? Defo not an excuse to go back though no matter how on fire my mouth is right now
Well done Donna, I have to admit to being surprised you have stuck to this quit because you seemed very reluctant after your falter at Christmas. So I am very pleased to read your posts. Keep it going because you are doing great

Thanks Haze, yes I posted about starting on 14th March, no smoking day, but realised after I was being ridiculous, just trying to buy a few months of smoking and for what? I actually feel very positive this time and touch wood it's going very smoothly

Hi Win
As you will see I have been a member since 2008, you would of thought I could of cracked it by now but no this is my 8th quit since that time, my problem with 8 weeks is I can't seem to get past it, I become very low and get anxiety attacks around that time and that's when I give in, although thankfully this time it really does seem easier, it might be because I have got back on the horse pretty quick each time I have failed or it might be the patches, but either way it's working I won't give in to it this time it's a psychological thing now I am worrying about the 2 month mark but if I can get to 3 months quit I know I will have cracked it xx

Hi Donna
You must be a really strong lady to get back on the road to freedom 8 times since 2008. I really admire your strength and determination. Hugs
I have smoking-induced gum disease too. I keep it at bay with regular hygienist sessions (every 3-4 months)...
I treated myself to an 'air polish' last weekend, which was a bit pricey but made my teeth and gums look and feel fab.
You're doing really, really well. Worry about the 2 month thing a bit closer to the time. You know how it hits you, so get prepared in advance, but not yet.
