So off outside I went, no ciggies mind you, just outside to walk past the smokers. Yakkkkkkkkk!!!! I never want to smell like that again.
The longing soon left me.
I bought myself a little phone today. Nothing expensive, it was £80, a little galaxy ace. Ive already got a tab and a laptop so cant see a point in an all singing all dancing one, but its a good little phone, does what I need it to do and didn't even cost me anything near the amount I have saved since not smoking.
Ive downloaded a little stop smoking app onto it, saves me getting the tab out every time I want a boost.
Anyway I digress. My son has stopped smoking too. Hes bought himself an electronic cig. If it works for him Im pleased. Hes only 21 so Im glad hes doing it now. And a plus point my house doesn't smell at all now.
Anyway my little ramble has kept me busy for a few minutes and now off to make soup. The nico demon makes work for idle hands lol.
Good luck everyone and keep the faith xxxxxxx

I think you're spot on with that observation; most smokers would deep down absolutely love to quit and when they see one of their fellow addicts break free it's not a nice feeling - we should all know that, we've all been there:eek:
Feels damn fine on the other side of the fence though
Ive moved offices today and now positioned above the smoking area.......do I envy them? Absolutely not - they look dirty, grubby and sad!! Think Im turning into a self righteous ex smoker, awful!!
i bumped into someone i hadnt in ages the other week and straight away they offered me a ciggie and when i said no they just looked at me and said oh are you trying to quit again
i did try not to look too smug when i smiled and said actually im still quit from the last time i saw you
the look on his face was priceless :D:D
now im thinking of that advert on tv that uses that line
