First week done

I was so pleased to see the 1st week completed, seems like a major milestone to have reached not that in any way I'm getting complacent! It sure has hell hasn't been easy.

This morning I went to parkrun and took 15 seconds off my best ever 5K time - I am so so so pleased :D:D

Yet another reason to stick it to the demon.

All the best

Steve

Fab news, I bet that went faster than you thought ;), it's great your fitness is improving too, you'll be amazed at the benefits you never realised you were missing out on. Keep up the good work Steve :D:D:D

That's brilliant news Steve....a whole week done and a good run time too! :D The benefits of quitting pop up all over the place and are a real spur going forward, but as you say.....never become complacent!

It's a bumpy old road, this quitting lark, but just as there are hard times along the way, so too are there exhilarating times such as your run time today. I bet your lungs felt better, too! Things will just go on getting better and better, as long as you never take another puff.

Thank you jenninegs and noggin for your encouraging words. It really does help to know you are not on your own ;)

I have decided to redecorate the front room of my house. Funny how although I always used to go outside now I can smell it when I come in the front door. So no time like the present to get rid of that lingering smell

Best wishes

Steve
