Today is my 22nd day of not smoking despite having a night at the pub on Friday and a family BBQ on Saturday. I must admit I haven't even felt the urge to smoke and don't even feel as though I am missing out by not smoking, even thought my close friends are still smoking around me.
I feel a lot happier as a person than I have for a long time partly because I've actually managed to stay off the cigarettes, but maybe due to the fact that nicotine can act as a depressant as well.
I can say for sure that this forum has definitely helped so far, so thanks to everyone who has offered their support.

Hi you are doing really well the freedom is so wonderful I am on day 11 and the pressure of having to go outside to smoke and maybe break away from a very interesting conversation or fun is a tremendous relief and the rewards of not smoking as by now you know are so many it's like having a second chance so stick with it and enjoy the rest of your life.
Thanks a lot. I must admit I've only just realised that I've more or less forgotten about smoking now. Last night I don't recall thinking about it once. Maybe your perception of cigarettes really does change after 3 weeks as Allen Carr suggests.

I swear by Allen Carr, it gets much easier from now on as you are experiencing, well done and keep it going you are doing just great
Congrats! I'm on Day 25 but unlike you, I still get cravings. I guess it's a mental thing. I went out on a pub crawl on Friday (day 20) and my friends smoked. Cravings was pretty bad but in the end I got drunk.. but did not smoke. Thanks to this forum and my friends (despite being smokers) encouraged me not to smoke.
