I have officially made it to the second week now, completely cold turkey. 0 NRT.
Wanted to update everyone, i was a 20+ smoker a day and had been for around 5 years. I never tried to quit before and i decided just to stop on the 19th of June.
I have not had a craving since around day 4 which im very pleased about, the only thing that reminds me of the cancer sticks at the moment is pure boredom. Just something to do for 5 minutes then i think, why throw 8 days away for 5 minutes.
Anyways, I personally think cold turkey is the hardest method from what ive been reading and just wanted to show every body that it can be done. I can formally say i will never be touching a cig again.

Wow, you seem to be soaring through these early days Jamezz. Very pleased for you. If you can do cold turkey and get the first week out of the way you are doing great. Well done and long may it continue for you.xx
Welcome Jamez, keep posting, this forum's just got me to a year without NRT....you're right, it can be done, although there's nothing wrong with NRT in my humble opinion, I've just been lucky enough to not need it yet.....

Great stuff Jamezz
You clearly have a great mindset which is half the battle. CT is a great way to go if you're able.
You are not only tobacco free but also nicotine free, and well through those first few critical days. This is a massive achievement - treasure it above all else. It may be early days, but you seem to have the penthouse firmly in your sights already
