Help!

Dunnoe why, cos I'm 9 months + into my quit, which to date has gone pretty well according to plan, BUT I AM #&*%ING GAGGING FOR A FAG. No real or special reason, just know there's nothing better I would like to do right now than to spark one up.

There's a corner shop just over the road. Sitting on me hands and praying for a bit.

Hey Esso I still get the odd flash, it's usually a trigger I've not come across before, and I'm 9 months plus now too, it doesn't last long though, as you know by now.....glad you're still with it, hope it passes and you can get on with things as you undoubtedly have been ;)

Dig in

That happens sometimes, no warning just jumps out at you, I think it is because it is a bank holiday. We find it is harder around holiday time, I think I do anyway. You have done brilliantly Esso, don't cave in now you would hate yourself and it would taste awful, make you dizzy and sick:(

Cheers people, think I've got me feet back on the ground now. I've had urges but this was like - mental - literally felt meself walking over to the shop. I have n't though. Oh no.

I think just coming in here, which I don't do that often, and knowing that people would reach out and help, is what was needed.

Phew!

Not giving up, giving up. No.

Don't understand it. These are the strongest feelings I've had since I quit. Just gotta grit me teeth harder I suppose. Wooah. Might open the bottle of Woods I've been saving. Not good, but try anything right now.

Ok panic over. Done with that.

Really no idea what triggered that, but its gone now.

Thanks for the support.

*realises should make more effort myself in this direction*

I know what you're saying

Hi Esso -I know what you're saying - even after I'd been quit for awhile I would get incredible cravings now and then. I think it's due to lack of dopamine in the body, so I would do things the level of dopamine & it worked.

These 'things' included: exercise, deep breathing, eating things like chocolate & ice cream or even a glass of wine.

Congratulations on not giving in.:)

Normal service resumed.

Early morning cup of tea, no hint of a craving.

Cheers everyone.
