Ah the dreaded question. Cue the arguments :D

It has to be your decision Rachael, you know in your mind the answer to that, it's your quit. Look at what made you have a few drags and see what you can learn from it in terms of triggers etc, and overall, don't have any more!

It's not easy in the early days for most people but this forum is the best tool to help a quit in my opinion. Post more, and read older posts, there are so many success stories on here ;)

Up to you

Hi Rachael

Only you can decide what day of your quit you're on. Whichever makes you more psychologically tuned to being positive in your quit is the one to take.

As far as wanting to sleep all day - that was me in the early days of my quit. I would just want to go to bed and pull the sheets over my face. Sleepiness and emotional states of being are very common: we are readjusting our biochemistry so expect to experience some different emotions. Now for the good news - it all gets better. Breathing through the distress with deep breaths helps a lot in regaining a biochemical equilibrium.

Hang in there - you're doing well.:)

Hi Rachael, the important thing is that you're carrying on with it!!

Am sure most of us have has something like that at one point, so don't stress on it, just learn from it and pour water on the rest of the fags!! ;)

Last time I stopped - 2008 - I had a similar thing, one huge row at work and I found a packet of fags in my car. Am sure you can guess the rest *but* after that I was off them for 18 months!

You said in your other post it tasted "weird" and you realised it didn't help - those are 2 big positives to take out of it. :)

Oh, and feeling tired all the time - I know exactly how you feel, one of my friends says it's because nicotine's a stimulant and we're getting used to not having any. It'll pass though!!

Hi Rachael

You have my full understanding girl. I am on day 5 and I do not know what is stopping me from lighting up - it feels like hell, it is constant today, it is a real battle.

What you do is up to you of course, but if I had a puff or two I would do the same as you and carry on not smoking, it is a very steep learning curve. You are incredibly strong, dont forget that.

Back to day one again?

Hello Rachel71 as angry bear advised let your conscience be your guide on this issue.

More importantly is not to class yourself as a failure you just did not succeed. So pick yourself up and start all over again you'll get there.

As the old saying goes loves a trier.

So best of luck with your quit and say hello to Crows Nest,Castlehill,Manly,Circular Quay and downtown Sydney for me.

Regards from Michael in Glasgow
