Some advice on how to stop

Hi, I wanted to share my stopping method in case it might be of use to someone. I always had an attachment to my 'smoking tools', ie a nice lighter or cigarette box. I replaced these with lovely little holders for my nicotine gum and took one of them everywhere with me. The process of opening the box and taking out the gum seemed to make things easier. (akin to opening up cigarette packet?) I loved my little holders for a long time but eventually used the gum less and less. I now take one of them everywhere..in every bag or pocket just in case I have a fall and always will for the forseeable future. Worked brilliantly for me. No chewing gums now for two months and stopped smoking now for almost eight months !!!! Ask someone to get you a chewing gum holder for your xmas in preparation for stopping? Dori
