I've had that with other meds and ended up having a bad allergic reaction. Mine started with hands itching badly then spread to arms and all over. Had to take Piriton and must never have any Ibuprofen based stuff again.
I developed unbearable itching on arms, legs and torso in months 2-3 of my quit. I didn't take champix. Antihistemmines helped.
I thought it was the patches, but it went on when I stopped them. I wonder if it was the stress of quitting. I smoked for 48 years, and I've found the mental adjustment very hard. It's worse than the physical addiction I think. Still, nearly 17 weeks in. I shall not falter now.
I don't take any NRT and I developed itching. Still am getting it.. My face my back and my head. Ppl must thing I have nits. It's embarrassin
So must just be a smoking thing. I would also love to no when theses spots will go my face as bin breaking out since I gave up. Feel like a teenager

champiz and itching
Many thanks to everyone who responded to my query.
I am going to try piriton and also coal tar soap has been
recommended.
I have smoked for 45 years and now starting to suffer ill effects.
Determined to stop this time. Champix has made this attempt easier,
but I think all smokers know the mental addiction is stronger than the physical.
After two weeks of quitting there is no nicotine in your body so the
addiction is all mental and I feel, more difficult to deal with than physical
(and my don't the Cigg manufacurers know this). Best wishes to everone
please please crack it this time.

Yes the addiction is mental.. I too suffer still with anixty after 4 months of non smoking hoping everyday I wake up that it's gone. As its making my line a complete misery.
But it takes a lots longer than 2 weeks for s the chemicals of fags to get out ur system. It can take anything from 6 month to a year for ur body to detox. And I belive mine still is. It effects done people and some people it doesn't.
I try not to go down he root of ppl telling me or me telling them you will be fine after too weeks. Tbh it really maddens me when I see ppl tei g new quitters this. Everyone's different. I was told 12 week and u would be feeling great...:confused:Maybe for some but not for others
I am itching like crazy from champix, didn't effect me on other quit attempts only on day 10 and itching everywhere. I will start taking antihistamines with it, have about 4 months worth left from the summer for my hay fever.
Did you manage to sort yours?
