She prob thinking u smoked as the nurse said to me if iv not smoked it will be a 0. And it was and mine was very hight the first time I did it.. But she did my dads and at the time he wasn't cheating. And he blew a 3 even tho he didn't smoke but she said sometimes thinks like running or riding a bike on a busy road can give u a little carbon monoxide.. All it's around us

carbon monoxide reading

Hello Mandz1001 your high reading; was the check taken after you had been waiting for a bus in heavy traffic/walking in heavy traffic before your appointment with the nurse.

When I attended my smoking cessation classes I regularly blew a high reading when the nurse realised I was cycling to the classes in heavy rush hour traffic which accounted for the high reading so what she did was to test me at the end of the session. So perhaps high background levels of carbon monoxide are responsible for your high readings.

Believe it or not in Glasgow there is area underneath a very large railway bridge in the City centre where a non -smoker would fail the carbon monoxide test the pollutions that bad.

i was told when i went anything under 7 was that of a non smoker and she did say if you live in a town and walk or run next to a busy road it can show slightly higher than that, as one week i had an 8 or nine and i was gutted as i hadnt smoked and it made me very angry but she explained our surroundings have an effect on this

boo
