Newbie on day 7!!

Hi

I am new to this site so thought best to introduce myself!! I am Mandy and am just coming to the end of day 7 with no cigs on champix after 16 years on around 15-20 cigs a day. Not been an easy week but hopefully next 7 days will be better!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Isn't it great to crack a week after all those years being controlled by the evil weed. It's at that point that I fixed it in my brain that if I can last a week, I can last a lifetime.

I've had the odd wobble but am just starting week 4 today and am doing it one day at a time at the moment.

The cravings are getting fewer and fewer and less and less strong.

Good luck, keep strong and visit the forum often, there's loads of really supportive people on here and, as you get further into your quit, you could become one of them.

Thanks for the replies - can't believe the first week has been and gone already but yeah would hate to repeat the first week which is what is keeping me from given in!!
