Just thought I'd post today as i am now into my third week ( day 15) . I can't quite believe it , my quit so far has had it's ups and downs , but generally I'm feeling great and the cravings seem to be lessening now ( thanks to champix and a change of heart towards smoking helped by educating myself about this ghastly addiction-(thanks Austin Legro for your great post on this subject-it helped me very much).
The best thing is my partner has quit too, it's week 2 (day 9) for him and he is doing it cold turkey (brave guy). So we are feeling good , smelling better, better off and our eight year old son is delighted . I couldn't be happier today. Tomorrow may be different as it's a bumpy road, but learning to take one day at a time . Just back from a morning walk with my little one in the depths of Scotland, icy cold , but sunny and for the first time in years I could really taste the lovely FRESH air.
Hope you are all doing good.
Best to all,
Pammie.

wtg how amazing does it make you feel getting this far, each milestone is amazing but the bigger they get the more amazing they are hey, as i said on andy37's thread
*did you have good days as a smoker?, even bad days? well have i got news for you!!!!!!! it really is the same as a non smoker but......nicodemon tries to convince you smoking will make it more manageable does it heck, to put it another way that satisfaction of beating that muppet 1 day at a time is so much more worth it and its health, money and risk free so use those non smoking fingers and keep sticking em up to nicomuppet*
I am still with you on day 15 !!! Feeling good, not had any patches on for a week ! Cold turkey all the way! It was a wee bitty cold this morning in sunny Glasgow ! Come on day 16 ! xx
