Hi Vixen

I'm just getting to the end of day 7 too....bloody hell the last three evenings i have really really wanted to smoke. And can't even blame OH this evening as he is away working. Seriously wanted to go and buy cigarettes this evening, so coming and reading posts and posting here helps me get past that. And "smoking" a biro ! Ok in the day time. Just keep telling myself this is not going to still be like this in a months time. The last big quit is so long ago, I can't remember what these early days were like. 'Bit like childbirth...soon forgotten.

Anyway, at the height of my cravings this evening a friend phoned. She has nobly been nursing her ex husband at home for the last month, who died this evening of lung cancer. That kicked the cravings into touch fairly fast.

I'll see you, and hopefully surfer chick in day 8! x

A friend who quit years ago said her gums bled. She went to the dentist thinking something was wrong! She told him it was since she quit and he said it was just the nicotene getting out of her system. I'd never heard of that happening! Must be pretty uncommon? I'm on day 7 now and can't keep out of the kitchen either lol

:D Hi Vixen,

I have the same symptom, my gums are sore and my teeth hurt. I read online that your gum tissue begins to heal and can cause discomfort. The lady in the article had to get her dentures adjusted because of the increase in healthy new tissue. So that's a good thing :D One more benefit in our new smoke free life.
