My birthday on Thursday so having a drink then, hoping I will be able to enjoy it without smoking but I guess half the battle is not letting the thought that I might not fester in my brain...
Hope everyone is doing well.

22 days is briliant!!! and to have combined quitting smoking AND drinking at the same time is amazing, and not something i could ever see myself achieving!
i've been alcohol free for 11 years now, so obviously i can't offer any first hand advice on how to keep off te cigs when drinking :/ but when i read posts like yours i think why not concentrate on finding a drink that tastes so good it would be a shame to spoil it by dulling your taste buds by smoking,
Brilliant Coralie. ..never looked at it like a good thing! no alcohol for me either why ive been quit! Im sure you will enjoy a nice beer on your birthday! without a nasty ciggie ...i too will be having my first night out on saturday...nervous but excited too!
Thanks thanks! I'm finding everything pretty easy...not too easy...but I just know I'm doing the right thing...and I'm looking better too....my skin is really clear and I look healthier....I think thats a mix of not drinking/smoking and eating well.
Good idea for finding a drink that tastes so good....I am going for champagne/cocktails as it's my birthday
Kitkat - good luck for Saturday...I think making those non smoking memories is important to break the association of smoking & drinking!
Coralie I find chewing gum when I'm having a drink really helps, it gives you something to do with your mouth (except talk lol).
And you're right about having nicer skin, my skin is glowing at the minute and the wrinkles underneath my eyes that were the bane of my life have almost disappeared!!!
