Hi everyone bad news I'm afraid, I've started smoking again. I am so disappointed in myself. It's been on my mind for a few weeks and it's got the better of me. This would of been the first spring that I hadn't smoked, it's a shame really because it's a total waste of an 8 month quit. I won't be smoking for long though then I'll be back on day one posting.
Thanks for reading.
Daniel.

You'd been thinking of having a smoke for a while...I'm sorry that you didn't manage to get past that period. It would be very important to take away some thoughts about this period for your next quit.
Despite the occasional upheavals on this site it still can be very valuable for you and I hope that you post soon and often.
Thanks for the reply's they really mean alot to me. I know it's not the end of the world but I am quite disappointed. I couldn't get past the warm weather, I will just have to learn from it and know for next time, which is why I won't wait 'til it gets cold again I'll be on day one soon.
So sorry to here :(( At least you will be aware of spring on your next quit .
I am finding it hard with the sunshining but im just taking 1 day at a time .I love summer but wish it could be winter all yr this yr . coward springs to mind !!!

Stick with the 1 day at a time principal, jans. Possibly look at building in some extra structure to the days if your concern is more about lazying around in the better weather.
Hopefully soon you'll be glad of Summer and enjoying getting more out it because of being smoke free.
Yeah I think that is what I should of done, taken it one day at a time, I was looking to far ahead to the one year milestone. Good luck jans I hope it works out for you.
I'm really sad to hear that. But like Cav says, this is clearly where you want to be (on the forum) and I have no doubt that you'll manage to try again soon and succeed
Oh Daniel, I'm sorry. But these things happen. Just don't slide back into being a choking smoker again, jump back on the wagon sooner rather than later! We'll all be here to support you.
Spring was always a killer for me too. Many times I have quit in the past only to slide back when the sun shone. I would say that once you've gotten past one spring it all sort of fades away and stops being an issue.
Really chuffed you posted but of course sorry you fell off. Look forward to your new postings!
Aww thanks for all the support people. Yeah I wanted to come on the site and tell people I'd started so hopefully people who are struggling with the warmer weather will learn from my mistake. Since I started I smell bad, my mouths sore and this morning I woke up with an headache. I never usually get headaches so I know it's the cigs, falling off is no fun. I do believe this will make me stronger for my next quit which will be sooner rather than later I'm sure.
