not sure where to post...I had a hiccup on Friday night...got drunk and was gasping for a cig. soo bad, so I caved in. Dont know if this makes sence, but the guilt I had for smoking wasnt as great as the desire for a smoke...anyway, I actually had two, cuz I thought, F%@k-it, Ive already had one Ill have another

However, that was a one off and I think it actually helped me...as Ive had NO desire for a cigarette since friday...

Oh dear!! At least you're back with us now.

It's the alcohol thing tho' I think. Although I'm not giving up drinking for anyone even tho' it does make the cravings worse!!!

I bet that first ciggy was horrid anyway, Although the second one would have been good!!!

Hold the taste and thought of that first one after quitting. It really isn't nice and after it we always wish we hadn't had 'the one'.

Keep with us March quitters. GOOD LUCK !!!:)

Actually probably the other way around...first one was good, second one, dont remember lol

That possibly is what I needed as it was a one off...I didnt go out to buy a pack...it was just a couple that were around the house as I wouldnt have gone to the store to buy them...again, since then there has been NO desire.well, there has been a desire, but its been manageable.

I have got NON in the house otherwise the temptation would be too much. Still got my lighters tho'! Perhaps they should go in the bin too. Throw any left over cigs away NOW. That's an order!!!

Yes maam...lol..

do I feel guilty? yes, but thats because I really want to break free from being a slave to smoking...dont want it to rule my life.

however, my wife is quitting and she is doing it in her own way, she is smoking a cig. a day just for nicotine withdraws. she wont use NRT..so thats how there were some lying around the house..:(

I'm on day 3 here myself, I know the key for me quitting is packing in booze for a bit, as when I do drink I can cane it. Having a break from both cigs and beer is the only way forward for me, one beer and I'm wanting to light up in no time.
