today is day 4 for me , and it is up too 2 tablets today , i take the morning one between 7.30 and 8 0 clock, so any ideas what time to take the second one as i have heard alot of sickness storys , the fags are already starting to taste a little awfull , so i believe this will work

Take your tablets after food so you have a full stomach. I was only nauseous in the mornings as I probably had a built up of food during the day and used to take my evening one after my tea about 7 to 7.30. Don't take your morning tablet with milk I started having my breakfast with peppermint tea and that helped also by Day 15 of the tablets my nausea has finally stopped of its own so can have a cuppa with my breakfast now. Keep up the good work you will still feel niggly like you want a smoke (I do) but just think of something else.

Its day 11 for me on the Champix, however, I have only been taking one tablet a day since day eight cause they make me feel really tired - I'm being as positive as I can and drinking plenty of water - I just joined this forum yesterday and the advise is brill, I haven't stopped reading since last night

well thankyou to all replys ,can i ask you what was ur quite date ? i am day 5 today and as the dose of tablets increased last night, this morning i felt so ill for about half an hr , i felt sick ,weak, dissy , stomache pains ,headache, it was awfull at one point i thought i would nt be able to get my son to school then after half an hr i started to return to normal , so im worried when the dose increses again on monday , this site is also helping me it is nice to have some support

On day 10, took morning tablet with something to eat and have pm tablet at about 1600 hours with also something to eat, apparently reduces dreaming. I have had no side effects other then the odd dream.

well thankyou for your advice , i felt really ill for about half this morning dissy, light headed , headache, stomache pains and felt well sick....... that was taking tablet with empty stomache never again, now i have another problem , i think they are making me moody any advice please
Hello Nikki,
There is a chance that the Champix could be affecting your moods, tho if it is not an appreciable difference, would remain on them. Watch yourself over the next day or so and if you find your moods worsening, off to the GP you should go. May be advisable to make an app't for Monday and speak to him/her in any case.

Personally I hated champix, although the first 8 days certainly took the edge off the cravings.
Started Champix on 17th feb. Quit date and up to full strength tabs on 25th. Felt dizzy to the point where I felt unsafe to drive, got lots of nausea and mood swings too. Stopped Champix around 3 days after that and went cold turkey, although I still pop the odd one now and then
Speak to your doc if you are having problems. A lot of folks report success when cutting the blue ones in half

I started champix on 7th March, with a quit day of 16th March, by day three cigs were 'not the same' and I felt shattered, quit the cigs on day 7, but decided to just take one tablet a day from day eight, am now on day 13 of the tablets, but felt so awful yesterday decided not to take a tablet today. I have just read a great book called Never take another Puff by Joel Spitzer - when I can work out how to attach the link here I will. Yes its great to have support - good luck we can do it!
