starting champiz on monday

I smoked for 21 yrs and i am starting champix on monday 14th march , is anyone else quitting on monday ?? although you can still smoke untill day 14 so my quit day is day 12

Thankyou for all ur replys , i will look at the march quitters club as i need alot of support , my partner is a smoker and i really want to sucseed this time , he thinks i wont stick to it , this had mad me more determine to do it , any way i have taken my first tablet this morning

Hi Nikkiellie

Well done for starting your journey to being smoke free. The Champix tabs are good just remember to eat at the same time you take your tablet. I used to eat with it and then i would not feel sick but if you take on an empty stomach or dont eat enough you can feel quite iffy for a while afterwards.

I too took champix, i quit on day 5 of taking them and then stopped them on day 12 as they did not agree with me, then i carried on by not having any other substitute just willpower. Im over 20 weeks in now and feel great so it can be done.

Anyhow i dont think you will still be smoking on day 12 but i want to wish you good luck and keep reading and posting.
