Completed 7 weeks now and today is 50 days off the cigs! Also been cold turkey for three weeks now as well, which is great. Still can’t believe I’ve got this far! I don’t even think about cigs now and the only cravings I get now seem to be every few days, maybe half an hour or so after breakfast, but that’s it! I also think it’s great to eat a meal, then not to have to think about having a cig, because I always used to do that. I do however find sometimes that little things that used to go over my head when I smoked do seem to annoy me more now, so I have to stay strong during those times, a few deep breaths usually helps
Doing loads of exercise now that I'm able to! Hopefully going to a Krav Maga session tonight and still keeping up my running. Ran a 28 min 5K on Saturday morning at a weekly 5k event I found in Leeds, which was great fun. Just need to shave 3 mins of that time then do it again in order to beat 50 mins for my 10K in June, plenty of time though lol.
Good luck everyone!

Krav Maga not up my street but good to hear about the running. Just signed up for a 5k myself (in 8 weeks time) and just started training for it. So... I have to beat 28 mins eh?!!

Its a martial art, having a trial session tonight so will see how it goes. Well done on signing up for a run, its a great incentive to stay off the cigs. Keep your training up and you will be amazed at how quickly running can improve your health and fitness. Best of luck with your 5k!
Also go to lucazade.com, they have full training routines for all events inc 5k and lots of info about running.
