Im new to this site but am on day 24 of quitting using Champix. Not been too bad so far except have had a chesty cough for three weeks anyone else had a cough for so long?

Glad you have found site; lots of wonderful info.

I am also on Champix and have not coughed once, nor has Hubby.

I remember reading on one thread or another about a few other people with bad coughs; believe that they ended up being chest colds, but give it a search. If it continues for a day or two, I would go to doc for checkup and maybe a course of antibiotics.

Everyone told me I'd get a terrible cough as my body got rid of all the muck and shit in my lungs.

Never happened - I felt cheated actually :confused:

Everyone is different guess. But as bbbreezy says, maybe best get the doc to check it out.

Everyone's different. I coughed a lot in the beginning. Mind you, I was coughing a lot before I stopped:rolleyes:

I'd give it another week or two, if it doesn't get better see your GP.

Keep on keeping on, it's all worth it!!

Thankyou to everyone for your replys re: my cough glad to say it has cleared up now and feeling much better. Although I dont comment much I find this site so helpful and up beat when I read all the comments. Will be four weeks in a few minutes for me still cant believe it x
