I can't believe I've reached day 18!! Going pretty well apart from a bit of a scare a couple of days ago. Thank you again to everyone who rallied round to offer support and encouragement. That helped me through more than you'll ever know!!
I'm off out tonight to meet up with some members of another forum I visit. There'll be drinking and I've only met one out of the approx. ten that'll be there before so it'll be a testing time for me. I'm feeling strong and focussed though and I won't smoke whatever happens!!
Hope everyone's having a great smoke-free Saturday!!

You did not smoke under pressure and that must feel good,so now you can say to yourself,I did not smoke then so you can contiue what ever is thrown at you.
I am on day 17 and believe me i could cave in at any time.
Next week will be hard as my friens is coming to stay who smokes.
Halloween tomorrow I think I will dress up as the mad axe women.
Nice one Ed, you're doing really well at resisting you know who
Enjoy yourelf tonight
My tip would be just to get that bladdered that you can't even hold a cig, that was my method a couple of weeks ago and it worked ONLY JOKING people, I did get bladdered but not for that reason
A couple more days and you will have hit the three weeks mark, I bet you feel good and it will only get easier from now on as you have got rid of all that crap in your system.
Have a great night tonight and brag a little it never hurt any one to let the world know that they have achieved a massive feat, well done you.
I'm delighted to announce that I was able to have a good drink and didn't feel the slightest urge to smoke .
The people I met from the forum are lovely and it was as though I'd known them for ages (in a sense I have - but only online), so that potential stress never materialised.
Two of our party of eight smoked and I didn't envy them at all going outside. The stink coming off them when they returned was horrid though. I can't believe I must have stank like that!!
Cant believe that is 19 days now since you gave up and your showing us newbies how its done. Keep up the good work and before you know it the weeks will be months and then years.
I'm feeling really confident that I can do this. I know I can't afford to get complacent though. That's been my downfall before but I'm wise to it now!! This forum's really an amazing place for seeking strength and motivation to see it through. I'm sure I'd never have got this far without the lovely people here :).
I hope your quit's going along steadily. One day at a time!!!
