Day 3

Morning

I'm on day 3 today so your not alone :-), I just keep telling myself that if I can do one day i will do two, if I can do two days, then I will do three etc. Because I have tried to stop smoking soooooo many times before that I have decided that this is my last, I will do it this time.

My biggest enemy is myself, I talk myself into just having one !!! and I know really there is no such thing as one cigarette, because it always leads me back to starting again.

I generally smoke about 30 cigs a day, I've saved myself over £20 already!!! how mad is that.

Good Luck

I know it's ridiculous how much money we spend on killing ourselves. I am now at war, and I don't like losing, that's how i'm going to handle it today. Tomorrow may be different, but today I am in a battle I won't lose :)

Good Luck to you also

Day 3

Are you using anything to quit? Patches, gum Champix? I am using champix, have just read loads of horror stories on them, but to be honest have had no side effects at all. Have had some really vivid dreams, but I really like them!!

Yes I am using Champix, to be honest, I couldn't smoke without feeling really sick. I spent last weekend in bed until the penny finally dropped and I have smoked none since..........no other side effects. Would use them again if I had to but I won't have to.......hopefully :p

Champix

I'm on my 2nd pack of Champix. Was supposed to stop between day 8 and 14, but although i cut down, i didn't stop. So i think it was day 17 that i stopped altogether. I don't think I have had any side effects at all, other than the dreams which I really like. i did take one pill one morning without having anything to eat first, and that made me feel as though i was going to throw up for about 20 mins, so wont be doing that again in a hurry. If anything its good because I am terrible as skipping meals then eating rubbish all evening, so taking the champix is forcing me to eat breakfast, and eat regularly in general. I am also trying to get a bit fitter too and lose some weight, so have a better chance of exercising if I am not smoking. I've just rope my friend into doing the Doncaster Race for Life :-). Your welcome to join us ?
