disapointed in myself
Hi dont think any one has posted cause they probably dont know what to say as your quit was so long and I will admit Im not sure what to say other than Im glad you have decided it was a slip and have gone straight back to quit, I cant tell you anything about quitting as you have been there so will just wish you luck and hope that you will not be tempted again.
Stress is in all our lives and we have to deal with it however we feel is right for us sad that you took a cig, did it help??? sorry but I bet it didnt.
You could read your old posts and see why you decided to quit before it will help to keep you focused this time, best of luck

Do not worry about it.So what you smoked 5 and if helped you out of your stressfull event ,so be it.Look at all the smokes you did not have this year, you have done great. Step back and do not do it again......
Good luck...
So it never leaves us then ..hope i dont slip up after a year ..must be bad for you.
Stay Strong....
Oh No, really sorry to hear that, but do know what u mean.... I have been quit over a year now, and yes u still get the odd feelings but not as strong.... I have had some days when would have give almost anything for a cig, and quite frightening how strong an urge u can still get even at our stage. But don't throw away all u have done, stick with it, and carry on, it was just a blip...... U can do this.....Kaz
Hi Peel , sorry to hear that you "dropped your guard".
You have so far done so well ( 13 months is awesome ) and the fact that you are sooooooo pi"£$D off suggests thats its just a blip in your quit that you will address and put behind you.
Stay strong
Regards Trev

I've been around this place for a long time and seen many posts where people have blipped, slipped or failed at various points in their quit, its always a shame and never more so than when that quit is so long.
It is important is that you recognise it for what it is. We can all find ourselves in stressful situations and looking for a way to make it better, when that comes along its easy to recall that previously you thought having a smoke made it better, even if we all know that was misguided!
When it happens you have a choice and yesterday you made a bad call. What's you need to do now is make sure that is a final farewell rather than a welcome back to smoking.
Good luck, stay strong and don't pick up where you left off yesterday!
I disagree Mod 3 she should definitely pick up where she left off yesterday, do you know why its because she was on here , and here we all agree is the best place for her quit to stay strong sorry couldn’t resist that, hope you are doing ok today and not feeling tempted in any way xx
I think thats what Mod3 meant angie.. was more a reference of not picking up 5 more fags today and not making an error in judgement again. (eg. give cigs the final farewell).
Peelsecurity? How did you go with the blip? back on track? Stress hits us all.. and also grief.. but you recognised the 5 smokes as a big mistake, have you recovered ok?
Ugh
Saw this post and wondered who'd bought it.
Sorry you caved but no reason to start again, this was just a last ditch attempt to get you back by the nicodemon. You;ve made it 13 months without a fag, what you actually needed was 5 mins to think and a cig "allowed" you those 5 mins at a pressurised time. Going to the loo could've also helped or ranting to a confidant somewhere discrete.
Was surrounded by fags all weekend too, didn't have you're excuse of stress, just curiosity and idleness. But if I ever have another puff it'll be "curtains for me".
Be true to yourself, do what you've got to do.

Hi Jase, I have only just seen this and realise that you thought I was being seriouse, I wasnt, it was a joke xx
I also hope you are doing ok and still keeping the quit strong and on track, come back and let us know we are all rooting for you xx
thanks all
a big thankyou to everyone
well iam now back on track again no more white sticks for me hope everyone else is doing fine
Do you think you could explain more why you lapsed? I'm not getting how folk who have been quit for so long still go back to the fags, frankly thats a bit scary.
It's only a minor slip
Good luck, tomorrow is another day and I'm sure you'll be back to none again
