do you have to get it from the doctors on prescription?

Perscription. Go to your GPs and ask about their stop smoking service. When you see them ask for the Champix. My GP was ok, asked about what else I tried and when I told him about the gum, patches etc, he gave the the perscription. It got me off the fags, and this site has kept me clean.

Don't worry about not knowing I didn't even know what Champix was 3 months ago. Yes sweetheart go and talk to your doctor about it or you may see a nurse at the surgery.

They will explian what it does and how it works and what side effects there may be. Everybody does not get the same side effects some don't get any.

Let us know how you get on and if you have more questions for us about it fire away. There is also lots of help and advice on here if you need it, with 22 posts on here already you probably know that.

this site is fab and you never think you can go past the few days/week then you read about people doing 1 month/5 months 1 year etc and its great as everyone will be or have been in the exact same position as you x
