hit the danger zone of watching tv, it's soap night and I always used to smoke when I was watching eastenders and corry! Don't want to spend to whole time eating either, help meeeeee!!!
These are the times when you need to break an habit of old...ok watching Tv isn't really something you can break away from, just try to relax and enjoy the soaps in the knowledge that after tonight you wont need to worry about it again and besides you can watch tv without a fag go get an apple and chew on that for a bit, the crave will pass in two minutes, then do the same for eastenders. be positive whats two minutes then the crave will pass.
Thanks for that, it's so easy to forget that the craving pass after a couple of minutes!
Fee watch tele with some nice cold water just sip it every few minutes it will help promise with the craves .........Two minutes and they are gone go and watch Corrie and beat these little demons dont let them rule you

I avoided TV in the early days, though to be honest don't watch an awful lot anyway.
I knew that in time I'd have to go places/do things etc that were places I'd normally smoke but to begin with it helped to avoid them.
Get some strength behind you and the not smoking then go for it on Sunday and have a mega catch up :cool:

Hi Fee I am almost at end of Day 5.... its hard. keep thinking ahead you will get there... I am not a soap watcher but have tuned into celebrity and this site to help me.... well done, day 3 week 3 and month 3 are supposed be worst
Well this will keep you from smoking. Eat popcorn and break out the dental floss. Can not smoke during these two activities.
It's hard, you get so used to smoking when you do certain things- in my case EVERYTHING!! But, once you start breaking the patterns it does get easier. Eastenders looks just the same without a fag I promise! It's still bleak, depressing and compelling! When will they find poor Owen under the tree?? I've been gripped!
I read someone had a few slices of seriously bitter lemon when they got any craving.. they were that much thinking about the bitterness of the lemon that they stopped focusing on the craving for a smoke.
I never tried that method, but i can see how it might work.
