Last cigarette....

OK...so i'm on day 12 of Champix and i've had my last cigarette 4 hours ago. I honestly feel that this time is going to be The One. I've tried patches, gum, inhalers and cold turkey to no avail. As much as I want to quit I can't help feeling this terrible sense of loss without cigarettes, but every time I feel like that I try to imagine how much better my life is going to be without them. More money, better health, less anti-social. I guess I'm feeling a little isolated right now cos i'm doing this on my own and I needed to rant. Thanks for listening.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Well done on your decision. From the sound of your post what you need to do is educate yourself on the whole nicotine thing, so I would recommend that you find the links in some peoples sigs and read, read and then read some more, it will really help you get your head in the right place.

The terrible sense of loss is common, and again if you look around the forum you will find many examples of how people dealt with it. This is your quit and every quit is different, however this forum will help. You need to read loads and post often we are all here to help.

Stay strong and never doubt the fact that you have made the best decision of your life.
