Read your signature Cat and breathe deeply. The pangs will only last 10 mins tops and then pass so just keep breathing deeply. Did you know if you pretend you are taking a long drag of a cigarette you can give your brain the rush with just fresh air, and its good for you.

Stay strong Caroline

Yeah read this - It works for me sometimes....

Here is a simple example of a yoga breathing techniques which helps best whenever you crave for a cigarette.

How to practice it?

• Inhale deeply as far as you can and then slowly exhale. Purse your lips so that the air will come out slowly.

• Slowly touch your chest with your chin as you exhale

• Imagine all your stress, tension and other emotional problems draining out of your fingers and toes.

• Practice it at least three times.

This deep breathing technique works as your greatest weapon during the strong cravings and gives you the best possible result.

I've found that not drinking helps a lot. I have had a couple glass's of wine and a couple of beers. I once quit for 3 months and did very well, but then I went out and had a tequila night. That's all it took. On this my final try I've decided to not have more then 2 drinks in a 8 hour period for 6 months. It my opinion in my life that if I say I really need a drink somewhere in the back of my mind the smoker part of me hoping I'll drink so I'll smoke. A old friend of mine who is a alcoholic told me once that for the high the drug give the brain lies to itself so you will use. Didn't believe it then I do now.
