Giant gold star for everyone that is quitting.

Just wanted to say that you are all Grade "A" Allstars. My only advice; stick with it. I've never felt better in my life. I won't lie, evil smokers (even my best friends) are still around many corners trying to persuade me back into their cloudy world... but its very easy to say no thankyou now. I also still carry the reasons I quit in my wallet everywhere I go, and have been known to pull it out on buses, at work, and when drinking every so often. Also on that list is everything that pissed me off about the quitting and withdrawal process. I am stoked to see so many people on here every day doing the best thing for themselves they could ever do. Remember, drink lots of water, relax, and congratulate yourselves every day. Educate yourselves as much as possible, and remember that the Nic Monster is one evil bugger. I feel proud to be part of the same forum as you all. Good luck, good journeys, I'll be checking in to see how it all turns out at some point :P

Viking.

I am 1 year, 125 days, 15 hours, and 13 minutes into my quit.

I like your tips too - keeping the reasons for quitting on me, plus remembering the struglles I had/am having with quitting. I will make my list and keep it with me - thank you :)

awesome viking

That is terribly cool of you to not forget about all the people just starting on this journey! I love the list idea and I believe I will do the same.......I think writing the torture of getting over the addiction would be extremely helpful for me..........every time I started up again...I would lie to myself how it hadn't been that hard to quit and that I could do it again. Or how I wasn't really a smoker because I could go many hours without doing it....and I didn't do it in public typically. Well those are the lies I told myself.

Thanks!

Hanna
