today is my first day of the ciggies well to be exact since 7.50 am this morning. although i am finding it hard the Champix is really helping.

so i am just wondering is day 2 & 3 harder than day 1 or does it get a little easier.

Hi Forest :D

I put something like this up for you before but in case you didn't see it

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

I also quit with the help of Champix and felt a little sick with the morning one so moved it back a couple of hours and that solved the problem for me

I found it a big help, but remember that like anyother aid that's all it is an aid to make it easier for you, you'll still need willpower

I don't think anyone would tell you it's easy but it does get easier very quickly the first few days are definitely the worst, but I do know that the more you read the better and easier it will be

Post often let us know how you're doing,Have a rant, moan or whatever pretty much anything goes on here and above all remember we've all been where you are now, so we do understand how you feel and if you need us yell there's always someone around to help and support you OK

Also remember that you won't necessarily get all the symtoms you'll read about on here and in the links as we're all different so are our quits as well

Best Wishes

Marg xxx

Thanks mel and Marg for your replies into day 2 now and the urges in some ways seem even stronger than yesterday, just trying to keep my mind as busy as i can.

Hi Forest,

These first few days can be tough, and as Marge says, there are a variety of things that can help your quit, but without willpower and determination they will not do it on their own.

The good news is - it does get easier. Get through these tough times now, stay quit, and never have to go through them again.:D

Stay strong.

Deke
