Hmm woke up craving today and can't stop thinking about it, its just on my mind 24/7 and dosn't stop! Wish it would go away soon. :( This has been the hardest day of them all so far. Today is going to make me or brake me i think.. I wish i could stop thinking about it mentaly that seems to be my worse problems.. I haven't felt stressed or down much tho but that might be because i'm already on antidepressants so it might not affect me so much. My mums still smoking in front of me but it dosn't affect me to much i can't stand the smell of it i couldn't when i was a smoker even lol. Just another bigger reason to give it up and be a non smoker! Cold turkey seems to be working for me so far. If i fail (which i won't, i doubt it.) I will go to the doctors and look in to NRT then.. But so far so good! Sorry to go on a bit i was just typing everything out that was on my mind at the moment and it seems to have helped loads! Hope everyone is ok and everyone is doing well with there quits!

Take care

Ozzy

Hi Austyn :)

Sorry you've had a bad day with the craves but after today the nicotine will be out of your system so this is the sneaky little B.......d Nico  Demons trying to get you back in their power carry on starving them

I'm glad it helped you to write down how you were feeling, it often does

Don't be sorry for writing it down whatever helps is fine and there's always someone who's been through what you're going through, we've been there and that is what makes this forum so good, everyone of us was a smoker OK

Just Hang in there and tomorrow you'll feel better and be so glad that you did

Love

Thanks Marg. :) I will write it down more often from now on! In the past 10mins i have been getting like flem stuck in the back of my throat(Not a nice story this one) And have to keep coughing to spit it out :/ But thats not the problem of it, its the cloror of it.. It seems to be black/brown.. Is this normal? I'm guessing its the tar from my lungs trying to clear its self :/

Hi Ozzy

Well done you are doing great. It's only natural to think about cigs they were around you all day for a long time, but it will get better. Are you at home during the day so you are around Mum's fags or are you out? You may have to move away from them rather than expect Mum to move, either way keep it up you will make it.

Good luck.

Jackie

Hi Ozzy - well done so far!

I also live with a smoker but have so far managed over 4 months without a ciggy and I very rarely feel like I want one now.

I also went cold turkey - I'm a sort of 'all or nothing' type of person so for me it was perhaps the best way.

I did lots of reading - I found out lots about my addiction and that helped to prepare me.

It also taught me to be patient! It takes a few weeks to re-programme your brain out of the smoking habit BUT it can be done!

Stick with - keep posting on here and don't worry about long rambling posts - the more rambling, the better, so long as you DON'T SMOKE!!:D
