day 8

well today I woke up and I must say had a hard morning felt really annoyed I knew I wouldn't smoke because of the way it got me feeling before I quit but I just felt angry and like I was missing out in some way. That passed in the end and have actually had times where I have forgotten about smoking all together:D Am eating far too much:mad: am eating now:eek: I am going to take up running in a week or so, going to let my lungs repair themselves a bit and then going to give it a go slowly and build up. can't wait.

Off to bed now and thanks again for all your support.

Hi Carol :D

Being angry and feeling that you're missing out is normal at the start of a quit

But believe me you're missing out on nothing at all I Promise

You're reclaiming control of your life and health instead of being controlled by that addiction we all have

Read some more there are loads of links in the signatures of posts on here you won't have to look very hard to find them

I'm glad the later part of the day was better for you and well done on getting to day 8 you're doing great

Hey there Carol

Massive well done on reaching day 8.

I'm also like you with eating, I can't seem to stop. The strange thing is I never used to eat that well. I never had breakfast but now I'm eating for Scotland.

I have the same plan as you, give the lungs a couple of weeks to recover then jog on!!

Might even but myself a bike with the money I've saved so far.
