Not sure why Ive got this feeling a bit like butterflys in my tummy but not sure if it is excitement or fear. Champix is starting to work not to fussed about cigs at the moment more habit I think. I am on day 8 of champix so just started the high dose today. Mark is still taking his tabs and is also feeling that he isnt enjoying cigs now. Mark is off work next week and has lots of jobs he has planned so lets wait and see lol got loads of jobs he has never finished might get them finished now.

Please don't be scared. I was, and one of the first things i noticed was that it was nowhere as scarry as I had been expecting.

Good Luck, loads of help out here if you need it, I love this forum!

Stay Strong

Hi Mel :D

I am so pleased the Champix is working, there is nothing to be frightened of OK

but I imagine it's just as much if not more that it's excitement rather than fear you're feeling I know on my last day or two before I stopped I was really excited and just wanted to get on with it

Glad Mark also feels he doesn't really want the fags now or enjoying them this means the chamoix is definitely working for you as it should

I'm sure you'll both be just fine

Love

Marg xxxxxxxx

Hi trendy, your might be feeling more anticipation rather than fear, i think its the waiting and that makes us all feel unsure before be quit, but please dont be scared, it is the best decision you can make and together you and your oh can do it.

I wasnt sure i would be able to manage even one day and now on day 31/32 it has not been as hard as i thought.

Taking the week off work is a great idea, keep busy, use this forum to read and post and just take it one day at a time doing whatever helps you to be positive.

stay strong and believe in yourself you can do it!

Hi Trendy,

Don't stress out, the champix will do it's job and you'll find the smokes become less enjoyable, before you know it you'll just stop. :)

Don't pressure yourself to quit, once the pills kick in you won't want to smoke anyway.

I was on them 9 days before I stopped. :) some people take 2 weeks or longer ... but they DO work. :)

Good luck. :)

Don't be scared, it doesn't change a thing. i wasn't scared this time but failed anyway. Learned just one thing, prepare for the unexpected. Don't allow yourself to get distracted.

There's a very nice piece of advice here nosmokingday.org.uk/forum/s...

I've decided to not give myself a break and will be with you tomorrow. I won't be of much help but if you succeed at least something is achieved.
