Hi All,

For the first time for as long as i can remember, I won't be giving up Smoking on the first of Jan as I already have:cool:

With a lot of help from members on this site, Champex and little bit of will power I have been smoke free for NINE months.

Every bloody year I would say to myself, thats it, I have had enough of this foul smelling, life threatening , money waisting addiction.

I think the longest I ever lasted was a few days:o

So i will have to think up a new revolution to break :D

Good Luck to anyone who is thinking of stopping this new year.

The folk on here can really help you succeed.

Happy new year to you all

Mark

Sorry should have put this on day one

Smoke free for,Nine months, six days, 10 hours, 19 minutes and 19 seconds. 5628 cigarettes not smoked, saving £985.00. Life saved: 2 weeks, 5 days, 13 hours, 0 minutes.

Hi Mark, good to see you are still smoke free!

I too am feeling delighted that the pressure is off this year, people always, always expect you to quit at New Year but it was always the worst time for me, all that boozing and hangovers - i smoked twice as much.

So the pressure is off for that. Think i'll quit drinking for a while now. I stopped drinking a couple of times during the year and now am in serious need of detox.

Good luck to anyone thinking of quitting on January 1st, it'll be the best thing you ever do!

:):):)
