Some of the quit meters include a "life saved" bit (mine says just over 7 days), but that's not what I am interested in. I am interested in how much actual time you have not spent smoking during your quit....
For me a smoke would take 10 minutes (roll and smoke) during which time I would do nothing else as I would stand outside to have it. So that was 10 minutes of my life doing nothing.
My quit meter says I've not smoked 2062 fags as of this moment - it's based on 20 per day (I suspect I averaged more than that).
so... 2062 x 10 = 20620 minutes.
20620 / 60 = 344 hours
344 / 24 = 14.3 days.
So 2 whole weeks I would've spent doing nothing but smoking.

stuarth.i think i got it wright..i have spent 8 days 18 hours on smokeing..how much time have we lost all through our lives smokeing..dont think about it..tony
Based on your calculations, except that I always smoked taylors rather than home rolled so I have amended the calculation to more like 5 minutes per fag, and made some adjustments to emable a simple calculation:
156 fags not smoked
156 x 5 = 780 minutes
780 / 60 = 13 hours
So I have regained half a day in a week. Thats quite something!
I calculated 10 minutes per fag cause of the time it used to take me at work to go out of our building (through five security doors) and down the car park to the smoking shelter. And I used to smoke superkings - so even sitting on my lazy backside at home they took a bit longer than normal fags to smoke...
